Film @ Grave Creek: Native America – Episode 2:Nature to Nations

Explores the rise of great Native American nations from dynastic monarchies to participatory democracies.  Democracy as we know it in the United States was built on the democratic system of New York’s Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) confederation. In addition, science and oral traditions show how corn, cedar, shell, and the jaguar each inspired new nations and planted the seeds of empire.
