With the beginning of a new year, the museum is cleaning out its closet of craft supplies for “Clean Out the Closet Day” on Saturday, Jan. 15, from noon to 4 p.m. Visitors can make crafts such as petroglyph rocks, jumping jack turtles, and other items made at the Discovery Table or as part of past public programs. One of the crafts offered, making an “Indoor Snowman” using repurposed plastic bottles, quilt batting, and decorative odds and ends, also will be available at the museum’s Discovery Table as a fun winter activity throughout January.
