CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Division of Culture and History will host the 10th annual A. James Manchin Marble Tournament sponsored by the West Virginia Marble Shooters Association (WVMSA) on Saturday, March 31, at the Culture Center, State Capitol Complex in Charleston. The free tournament is open to children from 7 to 14 years of age and all skill levels. Interested participants may register at the Culture Center from noon until 12:30 p.m. that day. A practice session and chance to learn tips about playing marbles will begin at 12:30 p.m. and lasts until the tournament commences at 1:30 p.m. Tournament marbles will be provided. The tournament’s marble game, Ringer, is played by placing 13 marbles in the form of an “X” in a 10-foot circle with players alternating shots. National contest rules will apply in the competition and can be found by visiting the website, www.nationalmarblestournament.org. For more information about The A.
