CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Langley Winds, a pioneering woodwind and percussion ensemble composed of professional airman musicians, will perform a free concert in the Norman L. Fagan Theater at the Culture Center, State Capitol Complex, Charleston at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 6. The hour-long concert will feature a mix of classical, contemporary and national music favorites. The Langley Winds ensemble offers an innovative program and features a unique blend of musical instruments. The group is just one of several ensembles of the Unites States Air Force Heritage of America Band. They use the power of music to honor veterans, inspire patriotism, communicate the Air Force story and recruit those interested in serving in the Air Force, according to its program. The concert is one of a series of West Virginia and Virginia concerts.
