CHARLESTON, W. Va. – The West Virginia Division of Culture and History will host a free five-day Arts Sampler Workshop for aspiring young performers, ages 8 to 16, from July 22-26, between 9 a.m. and noon each day. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to perform in a showcase in the Culture Center Theater. Music will be taught by Noelle Hardman, a music instructor at Weberwood and Shoals Elementary schools in Kanawha County. Dance will be taught by Lacy Hughes who worked at The Boys and Girls Club for three years and taught classes in art, yoga, sign language, creative movement and dance. Drama will be taught by Division staff. Space is limited and registration is required.
